Learning with others

Some of the people you might want to connect with while on placement include lecturers, university professional staff (e.g. counsellor), people in the workplace, peers (students), family and friends.

You can work with groups by joining online forums or university online learning group or by creating your own group using your existing social media network.

Although it can be very helpful to simply listen to others (or to lurk online), in order to learn in group situations consider a collaborative approach.

You can also work in groups by collaborating or co-creating blogs, wikis, etc. In addition to that, you can use GoogleDocs to write lessons plans, presentations, etc. with others.

Have you considered how much detail you can ethically share with others in social media networks?
