Using devices online

To use mobile technology online lends itself well to connect with others or access information from the internet.

You need to know where the wireless hotspots are or ensure you have 3G connectivity on your device.

If you do not have reliable internet access and the signal keeps dropping out, then consider going offline when recording and/or saving notes, writing emails (to be sent later).

When will you use mobile technology online to enrich your learning? If you use your own 3 or 4G connection, will you have enough allowance/data to use your device for learning, work and social needs? Are you aware of the different connectivity options you might have on placement, e.g. your own 3 or 4G, the workplace or the local cafe’s Wi-Fi?
